Latest News for the Church Family

Welcome to worship

Homecoming Sunday is September 7!

8:30 – Chapel Service with communion

10:00 a.m. – Sanctuary service for all ages.

Come back home to your faith family on Meetinghouse Hill! Michael Crosby, on the bagpipes, will join us. Child care for kids through age five will be provided… older children remain with their families. Worship will include communion. It is our custom to welcome “all who seek new life in Christ” to receive the elements so parents will want to talk with their children in advance and guide them according to your own convictions. Followed immediately by our annual Homecoming Fair with refreshments and lots to enjoy in Guptill Hall.

Everyone: please bring a small cup or mug from home – something with special meaning for you – to use during our service of communion.

Disaster Alert!
In the wake of devastating flooding and a record number of tornadoes striking mid-America this spring, the United Church of Christ has issued a $200,000 emergency appeal and a call for volunteers to assist with immediate relief and long-term recovery.

Communities across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Iowa have been severely impacted by these unprecedented spring storms. Missouri is bracing for the flood waters which are moving downstream.

Our heartfelt prayers, service and generous contributions are needed now to assist our sisters and brothers in mid-America. Support this ministry by volunteering or offering a donation.

If you're attending for the first time...
We're so glad you're here!
Feel free to participate to the extent you're comfortable. Join in the hymns, prayers, and fellowship, or just quietly seek the Spirit, as God invites you to come and worship. Whoever you are and wherever you are on life's journey, you are welcome here. If you are interested in joining our church, ask our pastors when the next Inquirers Meeting is. We look forward to growing with you in faith.

We celebrate communion (also called Eucharist or Lord's Supper) on the first Sunday of each month. We specifically invite "all who seek new life in Christ" to join us in sharing the bread and cup. Our Deacons serve worshipers in the pews. We also offer rice cakes and water as an alternative, remembering that this sacred time centers on God's grace and our acceptance much more than on which elements we receive.
