Latest News for the Church Family

September 5 - Last Summer Service
9:30 a.m. - Sanctuary worship with communion and preschool child. Elsa Peters will give the message, followed by lemonade on the porch.

DON"T FORGET to tell us your favorite "First Follower" from the summer's sermon series. We'll look forward to a fall adult faith formation opportunity to further explore the favorite four first followers. To share your favorites, please vote here.

September 12 - Turn, Turn, Turn Sunday
8:30 a.m. – Chapel worship
10:00 a.m. – Sanctuary worship
and preschool care only. Children in Kindergarten and above will remain in the service. Bring the symbol of what fills your hours. Bring that object that keeps you (mostly) focused and connected, to include in our Litany of Blessing. This is an intergenerational celebration as summer leaves us, school begins, and seasons change. John McCall will give the message.

September 19 -- Homecoming Sunday
8:30 a.m. – Chapel worship
10:00 a.m. – Sanctuary worship for all ages.
Childcare for infants through age 5, with older children remaining in worship. Sunday School Open House follows after the 10 a.m. worship. Sunday School starts Sept. 26. In these changing times, we’re moving our Sunday School Registration into a (mostly) online format. To register, please fill out this form: http://bit.ly/dnP1KP.

September 26 -- Sunday school classes begin for children and youth through the eighth grade, beginning in worhip with families and then leaving the sanctuary after Passing the Peace.

Click here for the first-edition of our "Church Referral Guide" (PDF) listing numerous goods, services and skills from among our church family, intended: "To allow members to access or refer other members, and their gifts and talents, as they see fit, whenever and wherever appropriate, with no conditions or expectations, and to build and deepen community within and outside the church. To allow members to know one another a little better, enriching all our lives."

If you're attending for the first time...
We're so glad you're here!
Feel free to participate to the extent you're comfortable. Join in the hymns, prayers, and fellowship, or just quietly seek the Spirit, as God invites you to come and worship. Whoever you are and wherever you are on life's journey, you are welcome here. If you are interested in joining our church, ask our pastors when the next Inquirers Meeting is. We look forward to growing with you in faith.

We celebrate communion (also called Eucharist or Lord's Supper) on the first Sunday of each month. We specifically invite "all who seek new life in Christ" to join us in sharing the bread and cup. Our Deacons serve worshipers in the pews. We also offer rice cakes and water as an alternative, remembering that this sacred time centers on God's grace and our acceptance much more than on which elements we receive.
