Worship with Us

Our first commitment is to encourage today's disciples to know and to live the Gospel. Worship is at the very center of our life together.

During the school year we offer two worship opportunities each Sunday:

8:30 a.m. - Chapel worship an informal, 45 minute service, relaxed and conversational in style...

10:00 a.m. - Sanctuary worship in the congregational tradition with hymns (both traditional and contemporary), scripture, special music and lively preaching that appplies biblical wisdom to contemporary living. Sunday school classes are offered each week, from infant care through eighth grade. Well-staffed infant and toddler care give parents of our smallest ones real peace of mind. Children two years and up begin in family worship and leave for classes after the children's message. 9:30 a.m. - Sanctuary worship in a more relaxed style with childcare for infants through five-year olds. Worship is followed by fellowship and lemonade on the porch.

The Sacraments
In the United Church of Christ we celebrate two sacraments -- sacred events established by Christ:

Baptism marks our welcome into the household of faith, and signifies our belonging. Baptism is appropriate for any age, though baptism of infants and young children is most common. One must be baptized before joining the church as an adult. The ministers would be pleased to speak with you about your plans for baptism.

The United Church of Christ honors baptisms from any other Christian tradition and therefore we do not rebaptize.

Communion (The Lord's Supper) is the central meal of fellowship and remembrance for the Church. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month and additionally at special services.

Communion is customarily distributed in individual cups in the pews, served by Deacons. This is an open sacrament meaning that anyone who seeks new life in Christ is welcomed.

Feel free to participate to the extent you're comfortable. Join in the hymns, prayers, and fellowship, or just quietly seek the Spirit, as God invites you to come and worship. Whoever you are and wherever you are on life's journey, you are welcome here. If you are interested in joining our church, ask our pastors when the next Inquirers Meeting is. We look forward to growing with you in faith.

We celebrate communion (also called Eucharist or Lord's Supper) on the first Sunday of each month. We specifically invite "all who seek new life in Christ" to join us in sharing the bread and cup. Our Deacons serve worshipers in the pews. We also offer rice cakes and water as an alternative, remembering that this sacred time centers on God's grace and our acceptance, much more than on which elements we receive
